Days Until Our Anniversary
About This Calculator
How many days until your anniversary? This calculator counts them for you. Enter your date — a wedding, the day you got together, or any milestone — and it shows the number of days remaining until the next anniversary, along with the weekday it falls on and how long it has already been.
A countdown makes an anniversary easier to plan for. Knowing there are exactly ninety days left gives you time to book a restaurant, arrange a trip, or order a gift without a last-minute scramble. Seeing the weekday helps too — an anniversary on a Saturday invites different plans than one midweek. And because the tool also shows the elapsed time and total days, you get the full picture: how far you have come and how far to the next milestone.
The countdown is built to always look forward. The date is rolled to its next yearly return after today, so the moment this year's anniversary passes, the count restarts toward next year's — you never see a countdown to a date that has already gone. A 29 February anniversary falls back to 28 February in common years so the countdown still works annually. The day count itself is anchored in UTC, so it does not drift with time zones or daylight saving.
To use it, choose your date and press Calculate. The days remaining, the anniversary's date and weekday, and the time elapsed appear instantly, computed privately in your browser. A future date is rejected with a clear message.
For the same date framed around how long it has been, the anniversary calculator and how long have we been married tools lead with the elapsed figure instead.
How It Works
- Enter the anniversary date (for example, a wedding date).
- Click “Calculate”.
- See the time elapsed and the countdown to the next anniversary.
Formula & Methodology
The result is worked out as follows:
Elapsed = years / months / days since the date; Next = days until its next yearly return
The countdown is the number of days from today to the next yearly return of your date. If today is the anniversary, the count is zero. The tool also shows the elapsed years, months, and days and the total days since the original date.
