Business Days Between Dates

The business days between dates calculator tells you how many workdays separate two dates. It counts every day in the range, then sets aside weekends and public holidays, so what is left is the number of days on which business is actually done.

This is the figure that project schedules, contracts, and service agreements really run on. "Ten business days" is a very different span from ten calendar days once you allow for weekends and holidays, and quoting or planning against the wrong one is a common cause of missed deadlines. Whether you are estimating a delivery, tracking a processing time, or measuring how long a task actually took in working terms, the business-day count is the honest number.

The result lays out the full breakdown: total days in the range, weekend days, public holidays that fell on weekdays, and the remaining business days. Both endpoints are included, and if the dates are entered in reverse the calculator reorders them and says so. Holidays are taken from a national list, and a holiday already on a weekend is not counted twice.

The calculator walks every day from the start date to the end date, inclusive. It removes Saturdays and Sundays, then removes public holidays that fall on a weekday, and reports the remaining days as business days.
